RAL 1007 today is called "Narzissengelb" which translates to daffodil yellow.

Earlier names were Chromgelb and Postgelb (chromium yellow, postal yellow) which dates back a long time when mineral pigments were still in use for colours and RAL 1007 was based on Lead(II)chromate (C.I. pigment yellow 34).
