  • These 8er's were built from kits sent from Germany
  • Production information for these vehicles were hand-written and sent to Munich for data entry into BMW AG's computer systems
  • Unfortunately, South African-produced 8er's data did not make it into BMW's IT systems and is presumed lost; therefore the "Without Lacquer" designation is used
  • Lack of information remains available; under research
